There are four different types of dermal fillers, but we use the most popular type: hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid, or HA fillers, are injected beneath the skin to enhance volume and contour facial areas. They effectively restore skin fullness, reducing signs of aging.

Common FAQs

What can I do to prepare for my treatment?

We ask a few things of our dermal filler clients to ensure their safety and best aesthetic results.

Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks before any important events. This gives your filler time to take full effect.

Additionally, if you’re specifically having a Voluma XC injection, we ask that you avoid invasive procedures like dental cleaning, biopsies, surgeries, or tattoos. If you’re unsure if something is okay, just give us a call to confirm.

You should also avoid any blood thinning substances, like aspirin, certain supplements, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) before your appointment. Avoid strenuous exercise, stay hydrated, and arrive makeup free and ready for your filler!

Are there any side effects of dermal fillers?

There is a possibility of some swelling and bruising around the injection site. These effects should fade within a few days. Limiting sun exposure, avoiding heavy makeup, swimming, touching and rubbing the area, and specific foods and activities that are inflammatory for 2 days post-treatment can help with your recovery.

How can I maintain my results?

Are dermal fillers safe for everyone?

Dermal fillers are considered safe for general use. However, there are a few people we don’t recommend them to:

Those who are pregnant
Those who have a lidocaine allergy
Those who are aware of an allergy to any filler ingredients
Those who have an active infection at the injection site
