WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP?
The First Step is our introductory treatment that is customized based on your specific skin concerns. This complimentary service allows you to experience what SKN BAR RX has to offer and includes dermaplaning or a renewal peel. Dermaplaning is an exfoliating technique using a rounded surgical blade to physically remove dry dead skin and vellus hair, while the renewal peel is a PHA (poly-hydroxy acids) peel, which is a newly discovered form of chemical exfoliation.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE FIRST STEP?
When you arrive, you are offered a choice of the SKN BAR RX signature water (mint, lime and cucumber infusion) or a variety of other teas or espresso drinks.
After enjoying our refreshments, you will receive a tour of our space and learn about the various skin care products and services that we offer, and which options are the best for you. We will also take photos of your skin using an Observ 520x camera (pictured), which will show your skin under different lighting conditions allowing us to see the various layers of your skin and its conditions.
After your skin analysis, we will move into the treatment portion of your visit. During this step, based on your skin analysis, the aesthetician assisting you will treat you with dermaplaning or the renewal peel.
