The Observ 520 provides us with insight using eight diverse types of analysis. Each skin analysis uses a different light setting to properly see your overall skin and any underlying causes that could potentially affect treatment. As a general example, if your skin is shown to be dehydrated, using a harsh exfoliant to treat a more noticeable concern could cause additional irritation. Dehydrated skin is often very dry and rough which causes heightened sensitivities such as redness and tenderness.
For SKN BAR Rx to provide you with optimal results, we need to cater to your current skin’s needs to determine where your individual starting point is. Through using skin fluorescence, we can determine the conditions of your skin down to the deepest layer which provides us with an accurate analysis. Through using this analysis, we can treat your skin on many levels, not just the concerns that are visible to the naked eye.
Inside the 8 Observation Modes:
Each of the 8 observation modes are designed to provide you with a deeper insight into your skin layers. By using the various modes, we can get look at your skin in all angles to further our analysis of your skin, and cater your treatment plan accordingly.
Daylight: The daylight mode looks at your skin in a controlled natural light setting. This allows us to see surface level concerns that may be otherwise hard to see in other lighting.
Surface Texture: This mode looks directly at the surface texture of your skin. Using this feature allows us to map out the outer layer of your skin to find specific areas that need to be addressed further.
Pigmentation: Using the pigmentation mode allows us to take a deeper look at your skin. Using this feature allows us to notice any skin tone variances caused by sun damage, overall color variations, or melasma.
Redness: The redness mode takes an inside look at the various smaller vessels in your skin that can directly impact redness and visible blushing on your skin.
Parallel Polarized: The parallel polarized mode takes a more in depth at the surface level of your skin. In doing this, we are able to look more closely at fine line patterns, wrinkles, pore size, and any difference in skin texture.
Cross Polarized: Using cross polarization, we can look at your skin on a duller level. The natural shine that is provided by our oil glands hides a lot of aspects of our skin layers. Through this mode we can look at pigmentation variances, any inflammation, dermal structures (collagen, elastic tissue, hair follicles, glands, and nerve endings), and any vascular conditions.
True UV: In taking a deeper look at your skin, we are able to catch any skin abnormalities below the surface. The True UV mode looks at your surface level, but it primarily looks at the deepest layer of your skin. In using this mode we can spot any sources of concerns and underlying conditions by creating and tracking fluorescence patterns.
Simulated Woods Light: Using the simulated woods light mode, we are able to manipulate the light spectrum to get an inside look at your personal skin dimensions relating to the oiliness or dehydration of your skin layers.
