The Stimulator Peel treatment by ZO Skin Health is a must for skin that feels rough or looks dull, as it uses a new, unique combination of exfoliating ingredients to renew and revive skin. With no downtime, this is the ultimate results-oriented treatment that many patients have been looking for.
This peel is indicated for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Since this peel takes approximately 30-60 minutes it’s a great peel to do over a lunch break. For optimum results we recommended receiving the ZO Facial once a week for a month. Following this, we then suggest scheduling the facial every 4-6 weeks apart for maintenance.

Before and After Care
At SKN BAR Rx, we emphasize the importance of safe and effective treatment. How your body naturally responds to specific treatments and products determines the effectiveness of your results. Current product use, medical conditions, and other contraindications all matter when it comes to ensuring safe and effective results. During your consultation, your service provider will go more in depth about the contraindications for the ZO Facial.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THIS SERVICE?
With the start of every SKN BAR Rx service, we will begin by taking your Observ 520x images. Once those images are taken, we review the photos, answer any questions or concerns that you may have and then begin the ZO Facial.
The ZO Facial consists of a double cleanse, warm towel and an exfoliation to remove dead skin cells. This preparation helps remove excess oil and dirt. Once we are finished prepping, we will begin the stimulator peel process. The ZO Stimulator peel will gently be applied to the skin. This peel contains lactic acid which is great for brightening and hydrating the skin, as well as citric acid and glycolic acid to promote cell turnover. This peel also includes anti-irritant benefits to help calm and soothe the skin. We then will neutralize the peel to soften the skin and prepare it for easier extractions. Once the peel is fully removed with a warm towel we will finish by cleansing the skin with a gentle cleanser and thoroughly removing any excess product with a warm towel. At SKN BAR Rx we always finish each of our treatments with medical grade finishing products to ensure you are preventing and correcting the skin post treatment as well as staying hydrated.
WHAT CAN I ADD ON TO THIS SERVICE?
- Dermaplaning:
If you would like to add extra exfoliation to this peel a great addition is to add dermaplaning prior to the peel. Dermaplaning removes that top layer of dead skin cells as well as remove vellus hair (peach fuzz). This allows for the peel to penetrate deeper into the skin and allows for better product penetration.
- ZO Skin Brightening Sheet Mask:
We love adding the ZO Skin Brightening sheet mask post peel. This sheet mask ensures genuine brightening effects to contribute to a more even tone. This mask restores skin clarity, reduces pigmentation and discoloration. This brightening product ensures a radiant, more even skin tone and texture as well as diminishes pores with citric, salicylic and lactic acids.
- LED Light Therapy:
LED light therapy is a perfect add on to the ZO Stimulator peel facial post treatment. LED light therapy is a noninvasive skincare treatment that uses different wavelengths of light. The benefits of LED light therapy depend on the wavelength or color of light. The most popular lights used are blue and red light.
Blue LED light: This light is known to reduce the activity of the sebaceous glands – the oil-producing glands found in the skin. Because of this it is ideal for treating acne, as well as sun damage.
Red LED light: Red light is most beneficial for healing and anti-aging and boosting collagen production.
